Located 35 miles west  of Green Bay, WI.  I specialize in the training of Labrador Retrievers for duck hunters, grouse     and pheasant hunters as well as Hunt Test participants.  Basic obedience is stressed early on to ensure a reliable hunting partner as well as a pleasant family member.  Typically I will start the dog on basic drills around six months of age, depending on the dog and his level of obedience.  Training will be customized to meet your needs and an individual training schedule will be developed to get this accomplished.  Your input and what you are looking for in your dog will determine the training schedule I develop for your dog.  Training can range from basic obedience to advanced handling techniques for a solid hunting and HuntTest dog.

My current dog is a Black Lab male named Shiloh.  He was the runner-up in the Manitowoc County Kennel Club's "Hunting Dog Expo" at 11 months of age in 2001

I am happy to report that Shiloh is the 2002 "Great Lakes Hunting Dog Champion".  He placed first in two of the events along with a "pass" on the Hunt Test style event which entailed a double water retrieve and ended with a blind retrieve on land.  Look for the article in an upcoming issue of  "The Retriever Journal".  This event is known as the Manitowoc County Kennel Club's Hunting Dog Expo.  It is held in honor of David G. Meisner who is originally from the Manitowoc area.  He was also was the founder of The Retriever Journal, The Pointing Dog Journal and Gun Dog Magazine.

Updates on how your dog is doing in his training are available on an every other day basis.  I will e-mail you a copy of the daily training log that I keep for every dog that goes through my training program.  You are also welcome to give me a call for an update on your dog's progress at a time we will determine when you drop off your dog.  I also feel that it is very important to have an 'exit training session' with both you and your dog so we can develop a training schedule for you to use to keep your dog sharp and continue his development with you.
